Club 1510 March 3, 2009

So now that Jeremy has a brand spanking new set of Altec Lansing speakers courtesy of me and like, several other people, we can now officially go clubbing in 1510.

Welcome to Club 1510. Launches tonight. Music will be mostly R&B and techno. Lol.

How could they do this to me?! February 23, 2009

This is so freakin’ unfair. Really, fucking, unfair. I went into my Multimedia lecture just now and was delivered a piece of bad news. Probably not so bad for the others, but really bad for me.

From next week onwards, our lectures will be on Tuesdays from 11.30am-1.30pm. Great, no more 6-8pm classes. Just great. Except that it clashes with my Journalism 2 tutorial at 11am-12.30pm!!

I had to attend the English student’s JR2 tutorial because my own class’s tutorial clashed with my French classes. Now I am left with…no slot at all. The only choice I have is going for my French class an hour late. But that only means I’ll be really behind.

Sigh. I’m starting to wonder if I shouldn’t have taken up French now. But I wanted to. I’m going to be so busy this semester.

Then again, maybe it’s not too bad that I have MMT lectures on Tuesday. If I continued going for the tutorials on Tuesday at 11-12.30, I might collaspe by the third week. Cause you see, my schedule on Wednesday would be like this:

8-9.30am – Comm Theories (L)

10-11.30am – Comm Theories (L)

11-12.30pm – Journalism 2 (T)

12.30-2pm – Copywriting (T)

5.30-7.30pm – Journalism 2 (L)

 

8am to 2pm nonstop. Wowness. But I just figured something. Since Mondays are so free now, perhaps we can push up the Journalism 2 tutorial to Monday! That would definitely be awesome. I just hope she’s willing to participate.

P.S. Just received news that majority of my classmates want to free up Monday anf Friday, so that we won’t have any classes on those days. Which only means the three days in between will be very, very long. I don’t like that. I don’t like that at all.

The pressure is finally catching up with me. Suddenly I want to leave. And disappear.

Amazing how different some of our tastes can be, isn’t it?

I once borrowed a friend’s book under her recommendation that it’s her favourite book. As an avid reader, of course I couldn’t pass up that chance.

I found that book so boring. It took too much effort to turn the pages, and every time I put it down I dreaded taking it up again.

In the end, I returned the book to her. Without finishing it.

Thank goodness Shereen’s taste and mine in books are practically the same. :D

emergency bitching January 22, 2009

yesterday my classmate told me that i needed to look for our internship adviser, Ms Eng, to give her information regarding the company i want to intern for.

when i went to meet her today, she said that another girl from my class was also interested in the same place. said girl is mentioned in the previous post, and said bitch had already went to see Ms Eng earlier than me.

i could feel my blood boiling already when i found that out. the conniving little bitch had applied and gotten her email replied as well!

i swear, if she gets in and i don’t, i’m going to make her uni life a fucking misery. by accident, she happens to be in the same group as me for one of my subject’s assignment. i will fuck up her coursework’s marks.

of course, that’s only if she gets in and i don’t. i’m not that evil. *smiles sweetly*

if we both get in…God. i don’t even want to imagine working with her. i think i will apply to change to another magazine if both of us get in. Cleo or Marie Claire would be a good option.

but still! geez, i really hate those sort of girls who just copy copy copy without their own stand. just yesterday night i was surfing around some review blogs, and i chanced upon this blog who reviewed in an almost similar style to mine. minus a lot of the passion and number of words, of course.

but that’s not so bad, as i discovered her blog a few months back. what really made my hackles rose was that she started sort of a sub-blog, to help sell off pre-owned clothing. guess what she put in the titles of that blog.

Reader’s Request. WTF. That’s almost the same as mine, except that I put Reader Request with a number at the back.

seriously, can they not come up with their own words or titles??

Pre Reminiscent Post December 30, 2008

As the title suggests, this is a pre-post to my reminiscing-on-2008 post. I cannot promise whether I will get around to doing that though.

Anyway, what has been up for me these few weeks? Well last two weeks when I saw Twilight, I immediately YouTube-ed some of Clair De Lune, which eventually brought me to Yiruma’s River Flows In You.

I fell in love with that song. So I printed out the piano score. It’s a lovely tune. I also printed out Clair De Lune, cause I wanted to try it out.

It was so bloody hard. Seriously. The person in YouTube who played it made it look like a piece of cake.

I should’ve known better. I’ve only ever played one of Debussy’s pieces, First Arabesque and that was for my 8th grade exam. It took me half a year to master it, and even then I wasn’t really that smooth on it.

Now, to play Clair De Lune without the guidance of my teacher? Fat chance.

So I’m mastering River Flows In You. Go YouTube it! You’ll love it.
