A few weeks ago Balqis – the class’ artist – posted up an old drawing she did of all of us in 5 Theta. Those who see me in house clothes probably know which one. It’s the same drawing on my class tshirt. So anyway, almost all of us were tagged in Facebook, and this sparked a sudden desire for a reunion!
It was all so random and impromptu. I know it has been three years (omg so long), and we’ve always talked about a reunion but never got around to doing it. The Balqis suggested a barbeque at her house, and it was all set.
There were 42 people in my class. 21 people agreed to come. During the last minute, 4 people backed out. In the end, only 13 people turned up. Wtf. Some of them who agreed to come and didn’t come either forgot or had other responsibilities at the last minute.
Nonetheless, we had a good time. Balqis, your cooking is good! Loved the lamb!

Sabrina, Shereen and I. In form 4, I was the class monitor and Sabrina was the assistant. Haha. Good times, good times. I remember how I volunteered to be the class monitor because nobody wanted to (and also because I wanted a post…any post). Though the position turned out to be a very big responsibility, I think I made a right choice because I managed to communicate with everyone in class.
In my high school, form 4 marks the start of different streams, and where the students previously from Chinese schools and Malay schools are placed in the same class. From form 1 to 3, we were all separated. You could say some of us didn’t know each other, unless you’re quite the active in clubs.

Group picture minus Shereen. Damn lah compression’s such a bitch. The picture’s a bit smoky from the barbeque…

We decided to go out to the garden for more fresh air. Balqis’ house is really nice! A lot of the guys in my class has changed lah. Like, who would’ve expected Taufiq to be a law student now? I still find it hard to believe. Haha. He was the ultimate class clown, and though he was really annoying back in form 4, he was still funny. Then in form 5 I didn’t want the class monitor post anymore, so I gladly passed it to him since he had been after my post in form 4. He regretted it. *smug*

Then look at Jalal and Sean now. They used to be such small skinny boys back in form 5 *cough*. Jalal is sooo buffed now, and Sean’s not half bad either. Got muscles already weih!

Balqis used to be really quiet in class. I’m so happy to see she’s so much more talkative now! Predictably, she’s now studying animation in college.

Haha Grace. Back in high school she used to wear braces and was really conscious about smiling with her mouth open. Therefore her pictures always ended up looking constipated. LOL. She’s still inseparable with Elaine, even though Elaine is studying in Japan now. The four of us – Shereen, Grace, Elaine and I – would always sit together in class and we’d be talking nonstop! Somehow Elaine and Grace were always sitting behind Shereen and I; everytime we turn behind, they’d be looking into a mirror. Vainpots. Haha. They also always bicker about the littlest things, so Shereen and I would be sniggering in front.

I remember I once smacked Jalal on his head for taking my calculator and nearly drawing on my purikura. With the size of those arms, if he smacked my head off now I’ll be gone for sure.

My favourite picture of the night! Everyone looks so happy here. I proposed a jumping shot which sorta failed in the jump section, but most certainly not in capturing their expressions!

Shereen’s and my jumping shot. I look super fugly here, but what the heck. Damn fun lah.

Later, the four of us wanted to do a jumping shot with our hands linked, but it failed the first time and we started laughing at the silliness of it all.

The second try was okay, but the jump still wasn’t prominent.

LOL. Jump fail. Who pressed the shutter so quickly!

I also like this picture because our smiles look damn genuine. :D And that peace sign belongs to Balqis.

I wanted to take a shot with Zakhren, but then somehow people started coming in and we wanted to make Zakhren look taller than he already is. Low angle shot it is. Haha. Zakhren’s still the same, although I thought he would’ve taken up law or literature since he’s so proficient in his language. :D

Guys seem to like checks a lot, ay? At first we were making fun of Sean and Zakhren who were wearing similar prints, then Jalal and Taufiq came.

A recreation of our form 5 shot – see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil, smell no evil. Too bad Elaine wasn’t there that day. :(

Here you go, I managed to dig up this super old photo. It’s dated allll the way back to 2006 – can’t believe it’s been 3 years! This was taken with my el cheapo camera GrandVision wtf.

Taufiq’s hair damn nice to touch. Soft one okay. Not prickly at all. *is amazed*

Then everyone wanted a share of the law goodness wtf.

Obligatory lanci picture. But somehow Grace ended up pursing her lips ala Puan Leong style. Puan Leong was our class teacher back in form 4 and 5. Notorious woman she is. I’m pretty amazed that Puan Asmahan isn’t teaching in SU anymore. I thought she was the type who’d live looong in the school.

It was me who came up with this brilliant idea to fuse someone’s long hair onto Taufiq’s bald head. That hair belongs to Hazreen. We were all in laughing fits when this was produced. My stomach hurt so bad – I still laugh when I see this. Doesn’t he look like a total hobo?!

Woot, I can has superb camwhoring skill.

Shereen looks so pretty here. I am glad we were and still are besties!

After all the eating and camwhoring, we had a game of charades. Overall, I think the best actor was Zakhren. His impersonation of Captain Jack Sparrow was classic, down to the way he runs sissily with his arms raised!

Hazreen and I. We were never really close, but she was always nice. And I always felt inferior to her back then because she was taller and had this super cool aura. :P
Later, we had ice creams. Somehow, I (again) had the idea to pose ala Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in Rolling Stone:

Needless to say, we failed terribly:

Ahem. I do like my hands though. :O
