Pre Reminiscent Post December 30, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — ponnie @ 4:19 pm

As the title suggests, this is a pre-post to my reminiscing-on-2008 post. I cannot promise whether I will get around to doing that though.

Anyway, what has been up for me these few weeks? Well last two weeks when I saw Twilight, I immediately YouTube-ed some of Clair De Lune, which eventually brought me to Yiruma’s River Flows In You.

I fell in love with that song. So I printed out the piano score. It’s a lovely tune. I also printed out Clair De Lune, cause I wanted to try it out.

It was so bloody hard. Seriously. The person in YouTube who played it made it look like a piece of cake.

I should’ve known better. I’ve only ever played one of Debussy’s pieces, First Arabesque and that was for my 8th grade exam. It took me half a year to master it, and even then I wasn’t really that smooth on it.

Now, to play Clair De Lune without the guidance of my teacher? Fat chance.

So I’m mastering River Flows In You. Go YouTube it! You’ll love it.

Edit: I’m saving you the trouble of looking up for it. Here’s the video. Hmm, do you want me to record my own playing of the song? =X *tak tau malu*

My mother allowed me to go for this year’s New Year countdown. *big wet eyes* Thanks mummy!

It’s the first time I’ll be going for a countdown. Seriously. So who else wants to celebrate me losing my new year countdown virginity together? Of course the boyfriend’s in.

Trouble is, I’m not sure where to go. :( Oh woe is the virgin.

The Great Anime Post December 26, 2008

Filed under: In My Humble Opinion, Plug — ponnie @ 6:55 am

I’ve been compiling this post for quite some time now! I wanted to write this post since like, a few months ago but I keep on procrastinating. I think I should start now, ’cause the amount of animes I’ve been watching keeps on piling! Btw, these are the animes that I watch on Crunchyroll. I’ve mostly copied and pasted the synopsis from either Wikipedia or Crunchyroll, ’cause if you were to let me describe the synopsis I’d probably ramble and you won’t understand a word.

Strawberry Panic!

Aoi Nagisa is a first year high school student who has been sent to the Astraea Dormitory after her parents are transfered abroad. The dormitory houses girls from three different girls schools: St. Spica’s Academy, St. Le Rim Girl’s School and St. Miatre Girls Academy. There she meets the representative of the three girls schools, Hanazano Shizuma, also know as the Etoile, she is beloved by all the students at all the schools. The two of them have an interesting first encounter and Hanazano seems to take an instant liking for Aoi.

Strawberry Panic is basically a lesbian anime. When I read the synopsis I thought it was more suited for guys, cause they love seeing girl on girl actions cause it’ll make them horny. Right? Anyway, I’ve never watched a lesbian anime and I like my anime with some ecchi-ness, so I thought, why not?

The story turned out to be quite sad and there were a few sob moments, especially during the flashbacks. There are minimal ecchi scenes, but it’s worth the wait cause it’s really…nice. Yeah.

Girls + Shopping = Fun! December 20, 2008

I was really dismayed yesterday when everything started messing up. At first, everything seemed so well planned to go the the Fleur De Lis, but then transportation started being a bitch. It would’ve been a whole lot easier if I was allowed to drive, but I couldn’t, so yeah. Then the plan was to get Shereen’s mother/sister to fetch us there, then we’d take an LRT home or something.

Well, it wouldn’t be a problem, except that the venue from the LRT station is like way far. Anyway, PY offered to drive but she could only confirm on the day itself, and Grace suddenly SMSed me at 2am saying that she’ll drive! Omg! That was the first thing I read when I woke up and it put me in a good mood for the rest of the day.

We ate at McD then proceeded to the place. There was quite a lot of stalls there, but not too packed like Absolute Bazaar was. A bit hot, but there were places with airconditioning so it wasn’t too bad really.

I didn’t really buy a lot, but compared to the other 3, I bought the most. But I didn’t exceed RM100! That was good. Now to show you my purchases:

Hong Kong inspired (last piece)
Colour: Black inner, Gray outer
Price: Rm59 NOW rm50
Description: A free size top, inner top superb material and very stretchable!! Cotton outer top for a stylish touch! I have to say skinnies look sooooo good with this top!

Bought the top (including the long vest) from Shopping Princess. That’s an excerpt from the blog, and it shows that the price is RM50, but I totally got it at RM42. Teehee. *tosses hair bimbotically*

And, I bought this skirt as well, from Oh Popsicles! Actually, when I first saw this skirt in the blog I wasn’t really attracted to it. But just now when I saw it, I was like wow!! Love that skirt!! Gotta have it!! And I bought it at RM35. :) I love it I love it I love it. It’s a little short, but if I wear it low it won’t be too short!

I saw this tube top at the Clothes For Fun booth, but I hesitated in buying it. I saw it online like many many times before, but I’m not too confident about wearing it mainly ’cause the back is kind of sexy. Also, I’ve never worn tubes before. Except for underneath clothes. So yeah.

I saw a pair of brown booties which would go really well with tights but when I tried them on they were too tight.

I wanted to buy tights, and there was a booth selling it for RM10 but they had practically all colours but black. Sorry, but I’m not brave enough to try fluorescent pink or yellow yet, thanks.

Ah, well. All in all, I’m very happy with my two purchases! Meagre, but good. That, and spending time with my girlies was fun. If Elaine came it would’ve been even better. :( Too bad you couldn’t come, Jermz! But it was good that you didn’t, ’cause there wasn’t any male item in sight. Unless you’re very Vendell.

p.s. Is it me, or does almost every youth in Bangsar dress very nicely?? The perfect hairstyle, the perfect clothes, the perfect body. Like PY mentioned, I’d really like to sit somewhere and people watch all day. I was drooling over the long silky haired, slim hipped girls. Hot, daymn!

Twilight December 18, 2008

Filed under: In My Humble Opinion — ponnie @ 6:29 am

I went to watch Twilight yesterday with Shereen. After watching it, I understood why girls love Edward Cullen so much. You should’ve been in the cinema; when Edward Cullen first appeared, there were these few girls in front who went, “Fuiyooooo!”

Tweens.

Anyway, I didn’t think Edward Cullen was very good looking. I mean, I preferred Robert Pattinson sans makeup and red lips, more so in the Harry Potter movie. But other than that, Edward Cullen was very charming, polite, caring; all the good qualities that a girl would love in a boyfriend.

If you watched it, there are scenes where Bella and Edward would escape into the forest and talk away. It’s like they have so much to talk about which brings to point one; girls love it if they have a lot things to talk about with their boyfriend.

And since girls are naturally very insecure creatures, girls love an earnest boyfriend. When Edward Cullen talks about “I can’t stop myself from being close to you” or “you’re like my own personal drug” (I know, cheesy, but it works on insecure girls) you can’t help but melt.

He’s also what the Chinese would say “sai sam” in Cantonese. At the end of the movie when he brought Bella to the prom, she still had a broken leg. So when they reached the steps, he naturally and automatically lifted her by the waist so that she needn’t lift her broken leg. Also, when she told him she didn’t know how to dance, he said he would make her. He lifted her and rested her feet on his, so when his feet moved, hers would as well!

*sigh* Yes, I understand why girls love Edward Cullen so much. It’s not so much about the looks; it’s the idea of him. Girls would kill to be in Bella’s shoes.

But actually, I think Carlisle Cullen is more good looking than Edward Cullen. :)

Anyway, it’s all fiction. I don’t think a guy as charming and earnest as Edward Cullen exists. Even if he does, he’ll most likely be a playboy.

Hottie Alert! December 16, 2008

Filed under: Randoms — ponnie @ 12:57 pm

I think I fell in lust. I keep hyperventilating whenever I see these pictures! Forget Edward Cullen, I’d take this guy any day!!

Looks a bit girlish, but damn he’s the hottest cosplayer I’ve ever seen around.

Exactly like in one of the character’s picture!!

You can suck my blood any day. *big wet eyes*

Oh my effing God. So hot!! *squeals* *hormones raging*

If anyone can guess who this is I’ll give them RM1! Apple not included.

Little Red Riding Hood December 16, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — ponnie @ 7:22 am

Ah, on Saturday Jonz wanted me to tell the twisted story of Little Red Riding Hood. The exact same one I told in a rather serious Drama Club meeting last semester. Ahem. I forgot the story that day ’cause I was a little high. And, like Jonz said, my story is meant for serious moments. Not happy moments. *nods*

Anyway, I found the book which has the story! So I shall publish it here.

Little Red Riding Hood (LRRH) is on her way to her grandmother’s for lunch. Before she goes, her mum says, “LRRH, you’d better be careful, because if the Big Bad Wolf (BBW) sees you, he’s going to hike up your little red skirt, pull down your little red panties and fuck your little red socks off.”

LRRH says, “Don’t worry Mum – I have a machete,” and goes on her way.

A bit further on, she bumps into the woodsman, who asks, “And where might you be going to, LRRH?”

“To my grandmother’s,” she tells him.

The woodsman says, “Be careful, cause if the BBW sees you, he’s going to hike up your little red skirt, pull down your little red panties and fuck your little red socks off.”

LRRH says, “Don’t worry Mum – I have a machete,” and goes on her way.

Before long, she arrives at her grandmother’s, where she sees the BBW. As predicted, he says, “Come here, LRRH, I’m going to hike up your little red skirt, pull down your little red panties and fuck your little red socks off.”

She pulls out the machete and says, “Oh no you’re not. You’re going to get down on your knees and eat me, like the story says.”

The end.

I have a little book filled completely with sick jokes and sick true stories. I guess I’ll post some up periodically to keep you crude people entertained. :P

The Alex Bbq December 14, 2008

Filed under: Contented, Eat Shit Sleep Post, Events — ponnie @ 5:35 pm

So very surprisingly I managed to go for Alex’s little party on Saturday! Got Davin to fetch me too, and see my mum, as she was complaining she doesn’t know how Davin looks like. It’s not like she knew we were together though. But I do hope she approved, ’cause he was looking and smelling very yummeh. Guys who have effortless style are so good looking.

Anyway, I had Davin pick me up earlier as I wanted to go to 1 Utama to buy a bag from Esprit for my mother (it was a surprise!) at 40% off all thanks to Apple. But I thought she worked in the new wing so I went there and got directed to the old wing. I had to buy two items at a regular price before I could get the bag at 40% off, so I bought the cheapest items there – socks. I wanted to buy a pair of flip flops, but they were priced at a futhamucking rm49 something, I thought twice. I liked the newsboy cap a lot, but it was rm89. the socks were rm16 and rm20 respectively which imho is very outrageously priced for socks, but whatever makes my mother happy so yeah.

Then we helped Alex buy mince lamb and a bottle of Dolmio’s Classic Tomato sauce. And off to the party we went. Basically the party consisted of Spartans and a few of MAD’s high school mates. Only four girls, and the rest were all males. We had a grand time making crude jokes out of barbequeing fishballs and sausages and chickens and drinking alcohol.

Seriously, I think these few months of me being in practical solitude has made me a more innocent person. It was so cathartic being in the party – making crude jokes, showing bad gestures and whatnot. I feel like a whole new person. Many thanks to Mx for giving me GG Season 2! I just watched one episode (I’ve been busy the whole day) and I’m dying to watch another. I miss GG so much!

That, and drinking red wine while swinging oneself on the swing is very fun. Very fun indeed.

We left the party at 10-ish and I had a look at Davin’s house. If you know what I mean.

Arrived home at around 11-ish, nearing 12. Possibly the latest I’ve reached home, without my parents! I feel so grown up. Predictably the father was still waiting up, but thankfully the mother has already gone to sleep, so I don’t need to hear no nagging.

All in all, it was a fun party! Can’t wait till next year when we’ll have even more parties – and alcohol.

Great Idea December 14, 2008

Chiu Yan and I were just chatting on MSN, and we came up with the best theme for a party next year!

Well CNY is coming soon and all, so we suggested having a party where everyone came dressed in red, and we have a reunion dinner! Cooking is involved, of course. The more the merrier.

What do you think, fellow Kampar-ians?
