Stolen Tag June 26, 2008

Filed under: Tags — ponnie @ 5:42 am

Tag stolen from PY’s blog. I’m so sorry I won’t be in Kampar when you’re coming here this weekend. T_T

1. Do you eat a lot of fast food?
Not since I came to Kampar. But I guess my intake of instant noodles increased since I came to Kampar. Wait, instant noodles is a kind of fast food, right?

2. Were you happy when you woke up today?
It was more of panic.

“Wtf?! What time is it?? AARGHHHH I OVERSLEPT!!!”

(hence me missing my 8am class. No worries, thank God for the 5 hour break. And thank you Sam for signing for me.)

3. Are you an understanding person?
Not all the time. And it depends on the situation as well.

4. What was the last movie you saw in theaters?
Kung-Fu Panda. Haha. Funny movie.

5. What did you last get upset about?
Missing my Advertising lecture which was just a few hours ago. :(

6. Do you eat candy on a daily basis?
Not that fond of candy. I like to take it on a moderate basis, or I’ll get sick of it and stay away forever.

7. Does it make you happy to get letters in the mail?
Depends what kind of mail. If it’s handwritten letters, then yes! I hardly ever get letters anyway. Hahaha.

8. What are you looking forward to this summer?
Ah, Malaysia doesn’t have a season called summer. Besides, I’ll be having classes, mid terms, and assignments during this so-called summer.

9. Who was the last person you ate with?
Apple, Cherrie, Sam, Brian, Law, Tian Seng and Vendell for supper this morning at 1am.

10. Do raisins belong in cookies?
Nah. Chocolate chips belong in cookies! Yum.

11. What’s your screen name?
Ponnie / Sephiria.

12. Walking into a party, what’s the first thing you notice?
Hmm. The overall mood of the party?

13. Are you currently taking a science class in school?
Nah. I’m an arts student. No wait, scratch that. I’m a Bachelor of Communications (with HONOURS) in Journalism student. Hahaha.

14. You’ve just won a free vacation to either South America or North Korea?
Both are equally unappealing. Can I just get the cash to get to those places instead?

15. Would you rather have chicken or steak?
Steak. ^^

16. What’s one thing you’ve learned?
Keep quiet and listen. You’ll learn a whole lot more. Not academically speaking, though.

17. Who was the last person you took a picture of?
Mx and some random stranger who KOed.

18. Would you ever donate blood?
I want to, but I don’t weight enough to donate. Besides, I think I might chicken out on the needle.

19. How many snack machines are in your school?
None.

20. Do you believe in karma?
Not really.

21. Are you good at telling jokes?
I’m good at making people laugh, but not through jokes.

22. Do you wish you had smaller feet?
What a weird question. But no, I don’t.

23. Have you ever had a best friend who was of the opposite sex?
Mx, are you my best friend? *big wet eyes*

24. When ordering sushi, what do you get?
I prefer to stick to the safer, un-raw ones. ^^

25. What were you doing at 10 am?
Half sleeping, half agonising over the fact that I missed my Av class. T_T

26. Are you different now than you were six months ago?
Definitely. The difference is so major you’d think I was a whole new person. *proud*

28. What was the last beverage you spilled on yourself?
Coffee, methinks.

Regain control June 24, 2008

I haven’t been online for only two days, and already something big happened. Hope you’re okay PY, Elyse, and those involved. Drive safely next time, kay?

This week will be a flurry of events, what with all the campaigning going on in campus. SRC, people. Vote Team 1! I’m thankful I didn’t join the committee, am just a supporter. Mingy and team really look like they could do with a good rest.

I’ll be going back this weekend! It’s Shereen’s birthday, but I doubt I’ll be able to go out…sob. I’d like to go home though, I managed to book tickets, surprisingly. Kind of miss home, and…a part of me. If y’know what I mean. Hehe.

Klah. I miss ya VinVin! And I bought you something that’ll make you go totally gay when you see it. Hahaha.

Suddenly all the assignments seem to be pouring in, and I haven’t been able to get the effort or drive to get started. I don’t plan to bring my laptop back either this weekend, so I doubt I’ll get anything done during the weekends. Hmm. I’ll give myself a weekend of relaxation before torturing myself. I deserve it. Nods. ‘Cause I totally did not skip any classes last week. And I won’t be skipping any for this week.

Maybe I should work hard this week so that time will pass faster and I’ll be able to see my boyfriend, and I’ll feel like all the hard work will be worth the relaxation.

Two, four, six eight,

Three days till I see my babe!

Talent Time – May Intake June 21, 2008

Filed under: Eat Shit Sleep Post, Events, Uni — ponnie @ 5:40 am

Last night I went for the Talent Time meant for the May intakes. Hey, they were giving out free tickets to seniors, so just grab it-lah! After all it’s free, and Malex (Mx & Alex) are gonna perform as guest performers.

We got ready to leave at 6pm (which was the time TT was supposed to start, but y’know Malaysians), and we girls took a picture at our porch before we left. This was what we (minus Apple) wore at first:

Kampar Waterfall June 20, 2008

Filed under: Eat Shit Sleep Post, Events, Uni — ponnie @ 6:38 pm

Most people tend to get confused when we mention Kampar Waterfall. They’d think it’s Lata Kinjang, which is not, ’cause Kampar Waterfall is really in Kampar, and not on the way to Cameron Highlands. It takes only around 15 minutes or so to get there. It’s not as impressive as Lata Kinjang, but it’s nice in its own way. It’s clean too, and probably not as crowded as Lata Kinjang.

Anyway, as mentioned in my previous post, I had a 5 hour break yesterday. It was pretty productive; I went for lunch after class, got home, and did my laundry. Unfortunately the sun wasn’t as strong as last week’s (thank goodness; no heat, but boo my clothes didn’t dry by evening) so yeah, my clothes were still a tad damp.

The PR people’s class finishes at 1pm, and Kar May’s at 12.30pm, so we decided to go to Kampar Waterfall for awhile. By we, I mean Apple, Brian, Cherrie, Kar May, Sam and I.

We didn’t have the place to ourselves though, as there were a few…M people there. So we had to be extra careful with our belongings, what with our cellphones and wallets in our bags. I brought my camera, of course!

Life goes on. June 18, 2008

Filed under: Eat Shit Sleep Post, Uni — ponnie @ 4:17 pm

It’s Wednesday, and so far I’ve been sticking through with my goal of the week! I have not skipped any classes yet. Yet. But I should be so proud of myself; I only had one class on Tuesday, which was at 2pm. But I had to go to campus earlier for the Student Rep Council (SRC) thing with the whole team (rest assured, I’m only a kelefe in the team, no big posts. Hehe). After we were done, I went home, napped, and surprisingly, forced myself to go to class later at 2pm!

I am proud of myself. *pats self on back*

The biggest challenge yet to come will be tomorrow, when I have my 5 hour break. I will be tempted to skip my 3pm class, but I will have willpower! And resistance to sleep and laziness!

Anyway, this morning was like crap. Something (or probably, just myself) woke me up at the ungodly hour of 4-ish am. I don’t know why, I’ve become a light sleeper ever since I moved to Kampar. Must be the lack of security. Later at 7-ish am, I was awakened by a bus honking nonstop. It was continuous and so…irritating. I later learnt that a nooblet car was parked in a way that it blocked the bus. The owner of the car did not show up in the end, so three (3) buses had to reverse their way out. That’s what I heard, anyway.

After class today there was a Drama & Public Speaking Society AGM! Whee. Sadly it’s the only club I’m in. I was the pro-temp Asst. Secretary, and today’s AGM determined the new board. It was fun, ’cause everyone was jokey and not too serious, ’cause hey, Drama Club is all about being dramatic. *nods*

I got back the Asst. Secretary post. Haha. No Secretary! I’m contented. Turnout wasn’t that great though…you’d think that a few hundred people who signed up, at least 80% of them would turn up. Perhaps their timetable sucks.

Connection has been like crap ever since the new semester. It’s gotten so bad that I can’t even sign in to my MSN now. Luckily it’s not that crappy, ’cause it’s good enough to play Counter Strike on LAN! Muahahaha. I ain’t that pro yet, though I’ve scored quite a few headshots. *proud*

8am class tomorrow, with a 5 hour break after that. Will do my laundry. Ah, such is the life of a university student living on her own. Wish I had a car, and a washing machine.

Yay for Monday June 16, 2008

Filed under: Uni — ponnie @ 9:20 am

I’m in a good mood today.

Even though there was a long queue for the bus, I’m still in a good mood.

Even though the weather was too hot, I’m still in a good mood.

Even though there was a confusion of class venues leading me to walk from Block E to B and back again, I’m still in a good mood.

Even though I was told to “check the dress code” ’cause I was wearing a mini skirt, I’m still in a good mood.

Even though the lady’s fingers I ate for lunch wasn’t well cooked, I’m still in a good mood.

Why?

‘Cause for the first time since the new semester started, I didn’t arrive late for/miss my Mass Media and Society class!

Thanks to the lazy bus driver of Bus 10 who doesn’t want to drive round Westlake ’cause his bus is already full, I had to walk out and wait for the bus. As predicted, after the bus filled up, he just reversed out and went off.

Goal of the week: I will not skip any class this week!

i wanna blog about something insightful, something enlightening, but all that comes to mind is…well, Davin. i’m still basking in the happiness of new love, so everything revolves around vin vin vin. haha. though it’s barely been two months since we’ve officially been together, it seems like we’ve been together for quite awhile.

sometimes i stop and think about the realities of life…is forever really possible? yes, there is no such thing as forever, as i found out the hard way…but for life could be possible. technically there is no difference; it’s the same shit. but for life just sounds more logical than forever.

i had a teacher once that told me it’s not good to compare. but compare i did, and i found that what i have now is so good, and i’m so much luckier, and so much happier as compared to what i have been blinded before with.

i’m not gonna keep track religiously of how long we’ve been together. i just wanna enjoy every moment i have with davin now, and look forward to the days we’ll have together.

loving davin, with all his flaws and features.

Filed under: Events — ponnie @ 1:31 pm

Went to Ipoh on Sunday with my boyfriend and his friends for their bboy competition…via a Mercedes! A Bus Pekerja’s Mercedes bus, that is. xP

I’ll just cut to the competition. I have a lot of pictures (and a few videos), so beware!

Contestants, methinks.

Boyfriend and teammates. They look so stressed. =/
