The title of this post has no relations to what I’m about to post. But all the same, hope you’re having a great 19th Elaine!

I shall now proceed to the first half of my pictures collection, dating all the way from late January.

So on the 31st of January, we surprised Ming-Y on her birthday during midnight, and we later had a party at night. Here are the pictures of the surprise:

Pre-surprise. Kar May massaging Apple. We were in Alex and Lawrence’s room, hiding from Ming-Y and trying not to make a single noise. It was very, very hard. With too many people in a room, it’s hard to be quiet.

I’ve Been Thinking February 25, 2008

A year ago, I freaked at the thought of studying somewhere so far away from home.

A year ago, I couldn’t even dream of travelling abroad or outstation for work purposes.

A year ago, I would dread the idea of leaving my own state.

Now, I feel so free. Suddenly I feel like working in Singapore. The money, the place, the freedom.

I’m glad I finally managed to let go.

It’s Back February 24, 2008

My Anus is back…but I’m not really that happy about it. For starters, they totally replaced my monitor…with the old Compaq monitor. Now, instead of the Q on the front, it’s the COMPAQ word. In italics. Oh noo…this isn’t the way I remembered my Anus. No no no no.

Sunday Blues February 24, 2008

Hello, Sunday. Currently there’s only 5 of us in the house, ’cause Kar May’s in KL, Brian’s in Tapah, and Averse is in Ipoh. I should be so damn thankful, ’cause Kar May has not only left her laptop behind for me to use, she’s even bringing back my laptop from KL to here. I love you so much Kar May. That’s why I entrusted you with my camera so that you can take pictures during that Jay Chou concert lol.

Anyway, my Anus will only be back late tonight. “Anus” is my laptop’s name, unfortunately. How it came to be, is a disturbing thing. Apparently Kar May was accusing me of mishandling her Tofu Chai (her tofu handphone holder), then suddenly we came up names for her gadgets, like her laptop is Miki (Mickey?) Chai, her handphone’s name is Sung Chai (’cause it’s a Samsung)…suddenly we had to name my gadgets as well. I thought of naming my laptop Jie, but she said no, my laptop must be named Anus (inside joke). Then Cherrie started calling my laptop Anus as well, so yeah. It’s stuck with Anus.

To add to the damage, they came up with things like, “Poh Nee misses her Anus and wants to play with it.”

That. Is. So. Wrong.

Moving on, we all should be in Ipoh today, watching Step Up 2! But, none of the cinemas in Ipoh are showing Step Up 2. How can!! It’s unfair!! And anyway there’s not enough cars so we ended up not going, except for Averse.

I’m feeling a little bored and sleepy now. I want to sleep, but then I think of how long I’ve slept (actually not very long, just 6 hours) and I think of my Mass Comm’s mid terms which I have not studied for (yet)…aargh! Must. Study. Otherwise. Won’t. Get. Good. Grades.

Speaking of good grades, I got the highest in class for my Electronic Publishing mid terms! Woohoo! I guess slaving away really does pay off. At times.

What else happened this week? Oh yeah. My first eventful Chap Goh Meh this year. A bunch of us (20, to be exact) went to Ipoh on Thursday, which was Chap Goh Meh duh. We ate dim sum for dinner (weird, much?) and later split up to do different stuff. 10 of us went to watch a movie, Jumper, and the other 10 went for beer. Of course, I went to watch Jumper! Jumper was good, although the storyline isn’t really that interesting. But you gotta admit, being able to “jump” around to wherever you can imagine is way cool.

After the movie finished, it was already 1 something in the morning. And to think that was a weeknight! We still had classes the next day, 8am for most of them. Mine was 10am. Hehe. After the movie, we camwhored in the rooftop carpark, and then went for yumcha-ing session in one of the coffeeshops. The other group came back to Kampar earlier than we did, surprisingly. We arrived back in Kampar at almost 4 in the morning. We could’ve reached earlier, but we missed the exit to Gopeng.

The whole house skipped class the next day, except me. Haha. But who am I to talk, on Saturday I skipped two classes myself. =.-

There’s a party this Saturday! Can’t wait. There’ll be tons of pictures up when I get my Anus back, so prepare yourselves. You have been warned. 

Edit: I just looked into my wardrobe, and I see a serious lack of tops. I must make a reminder to buy more statement t-shirts (especially from Padini!), a nice pair of shorts not too short to wear for classes, and a pair of sneakers when I go back to KL. Hehe. Shopping is a girl’s favourite pastime.

How I Spent My Valentine’s. February 15, 2008

Warning: Super boring eat shit sleep post ahead.

My class today starts at 9.30am. Took the bus there with Apple and Cherrie. Most of the FAS students were asked to wear pink/red as you know, Vday. Those who wore black means that they’re unavailable. But anyway, most of the people in my course didn’t really follow to it. Bummer.

We had our Pengajian Malaysia class today too. This week, we’ll have to sit through the whole 3 hours of his class, ’cause we’ve been warned earlier from our friends of other courses said that he’s been PMS-y this week. Besides that, he’s taken to calling out our names from the name list to make sure that we don’t sign our names and skip his class. Sigh. Imagine, sitting through 3 hours of history. Zomg. Can die ok.

But then, we (me, Max, Kar May and Amelia) didn’t actually sit through 3 whole hours, ’cause during break time we took extra break hehe. We started camwhoring with Amelia’s camera on the balcony…I want those pictures!

After that I had a two hour break before my Chinese class. I went home to…sleep. Surprisingly I managed to wake up! This time the grumpy bus driver wasn’t so grumpy today. He even stopped in front of Block B for me. o.O

After class…I went home and slept yet again. What to do, I’ve no laptop. I can’t be disturbing my friends forever seeing as now everyone seems to be rushing for their assignments. I woke up at around 7pm (my class finished at 6pm), and Brian asked if I wanted to play basketball again. No thanks lol. I didn’t feel like it anyway. So I slept…again. And woke up at 8pm to be told of our plans for the night.

Apparently Ming-Y’s friend from the US is coming down, so we’re having dinner together. And just for fucks, we’re all gonna dress up formally and surprise her friend and her. Felt kind of stupid, but then again quite fun. It’s nice to dress up! We went to the old town to eat chicken bread or whatever it’s called.

After dinner we headed over to the PR course rep’s house for the SAD party. It wasn’t totally an SAD thing, ’cause there were couples there too. =.- I didn’t know my coke was spiked with XO till I drank it…so I was kind of tipsy. Heheh. Then Brian made me a tiny flaming (which ended up not flaming) and then I really got tipsy.

Went home and slept. That’s how I spent my Vday as a single.

Lonely February 13, 2008

It’s me again. Lol. I’m feeling kind of sad now…emo-ing again. Everybody’s gone out for yumcha and I’m at home, not that they left me out though, I just don’t feel like going. I just brushed my teeth anyway.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sad ’cause I didn’t follow them out for yumcha-ing or anything okay. o.O I just feel…bummed. About something. Confused. I don’t know exactly what I’m emo-ing about…there are a few things. But maybe I just tend to think stupid things when I’m alone, when there aren’t people around me.

Tomorrow is another hectic day. Everbody seems to be falling sick, I’m worried that I might get infected as well. I feel strange. Perhaps sleeping will erase this feeling away.

But then again, perhaps because of this feeling, I’ll be having yet another sleepless night.

Life sucks.
